In March 1926, Clement N. Trenor along with his brothers John and Charles, purchased the Chevrolet agency in Urbana, Ohio and started the operation of Trenor Motors, Inc. at 310 W. Court Street in the Gaumer Carriage Factory Building. That building was destroyed by a fire on April 19, 1926, and the Trenors moved their operation into the J.P. Hance and Sherman Deaton building at 406-410 Miami Street.

An associate dealership was opened in Mechanicsburg, Ohio later in 1926, with F. D. Miller employed as manager. The Dealership was sold in 1930 to Clyde Frost, an associate with the Trenor organization. Mr. Miller remained with Trenors for the next fifty years serving as Sales Manager and Secretary to the Urbana Chevrolet and Oldsmobile dealership.

August of 1927 brought about another move for the Urbana Chevrolet business. A newly constructed building located at 325 N. Main Street (Currently Mumford's Potato Chips) housed the dealership for the next 25 years, until the company found itself "bursting at the seams". This problem led to the plan of a new dealership and the realization of the dreams which Clem Trenor had for one of the finest automobile sales and service facilities in the country.

Upon the death of Clem Trenor in September of 1979, the Urbana Chevrolet Oldsmobile franchise was purchased by Roger Tehan, Sr., son-in-law of Trenor. Roger had served as vice president, general manager of the Urbana company since 1957.

The Trenor Motors dealership is currently owned and operated by Roger Tehan, who purchased the company after the death of his father, Roger Sr., in September of 1991. Roger has been affiliated with the family owned business all of his life, and served as vice president from 1988 until the time of purchase.

Trenor Motors has come along way since that day in 1926 when the doors of the first location were opened. our sincere gratitude goes to the citizens of Urbana and surrounding communities for their continued confidence and trust as our company has grown and changed since 1926. It has been with your patronage that we have been able to succeed at so many years of business.

Another large factor in this success has been the hard work and perseverance of our employees. Trenor Motors has been so fortunate to have had so many truly dedicated and talented associates who have devoted so many years of their lives to our company.
